From the earliest days, the World’s First National Park has been known as Wonderland. While it is certainly an amazing place to visit any time of the year, wintertime in Yellowstone is spectacular. Landscapes, covered in blankets of pristine snow and ice, are transformed into images of magic and wonder. Add the diversity of wildlife and it’s no wonder photographers from all over the world, amateur and professional alike, come to Yellowstone in winter to capture those once-in-a-lifetime images.
Yellowstone In Light’s guided tours offer you flexibility and personalized options not available with most tour operators. Our two day and four-day tours are limited to only 2 photographers. This gives you plenty of room for all your photo gear and ensures a very personal experience with your guide.

Day 3: West Yellowstone to Canyon/Hayden Valley

Our tour itineraries are well planned, but we also have the flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and photographic opportunities. Our goal is to put you in the right place at the right time to increase your chances of getting the shot of a lifetime.

Tour Overview
I have over 8 years’ experience guiding photography tours in Yellowstone National Park. During that time, I have guided photographic tours for both amateur and professional photographers from around the world.
I have also worked several seasons with the BBC, National Geographic and other cinematic production companies. Yellowstone In Light Photography is authorized by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior, to conduct services in Yellowstone National Park.
The photographic opportunities in Yellowstone are like no other place on earth. Depending on the tour, we’ll photograph along the Madison River Valley as well as Yellowstone’s Grand Canyon and Hayden Valley’s vast solitude. We’ll photograph the thermal features of the Lower, Upper and Midway Geyser Basins and the glory Old Faithful.
Whether you’re just starting out in photography or you’re a seasoned professional, you’re a landscape or wildlife photographer, you’ll leave Yellowstone with an amazing collection of images of one of the World’s most iconic national parks. My job is to make sure you have every opportunity to accomplish that.
